-To increase the availability of academic activities, I created a podcast called “UCONN IM Residency” to produce easily accessible didactics for our residents.
-Our podcast is available on major platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts. Content is updated at least once a week. We base our topics on the academic activities of the week.
-We plan to develop a QI project to assess if the use of podcasts in our program increases the interest and satisfaction with educational activities in our program.

Co-investigator, Analysis of the Management of Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia at a Tertiary Center, Dr. Sudhanshu Mulay
We started this retrospective IRB study to assess the use of 4T scores in the diagnosis for heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). -The goal is to identify patients who were tested for HIT by using anti-platelet factor 4 (anti-PF4) or serotonin release assay tests. -Subsequently, we will analyze the 4T scores and determine if testing was done according to guideline recommendations.

-We started this retrospective IRB study to look at the role of aromatase inhibitors in endometrial cancer.
-Our goal is to identify the differences in progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer who received aromatase inhibitors compared to patients who did not.

-The goal of this public health research project was to develop a database of patients admitted with COVID-19 infection to John Dempsey Hospital (UCONN Health Center) to improve their diagnosis and treatment.
-The database could serve as a source for future research conducted on COVID-19 at UCONN Health.
